The Colts have been on a roller coaster with their head coaching search. On Tuesday, after scheduling introductory press conferences and hiring assistants, Indianapolis was left at the alter by Josh McDaniels. After agreeing to join the team weeks ago, he changed direction after meeting with Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft and coach Bill Belichick. The offensive coordinator is staying in Massachusetts. Now, the Colts have to resume their coaching search after all of the mainstream candidates have found gigs elsewhere.
Thus, Indianpolis is re-opening their search and a prominent New Orleans coach is in the mix. According to Ian Rapoport, Dan Campbell is in consideration.
