After claiming WR Austin Carr and QB Taysom Hill off waivers on Sunday, the Saints cut Darryl Tapp and John Kuhn.
It’s unclear, as of now, if these moves are permanent. There will be plenty of personnel juggling over the next week as the 53-man roster is settled.
Both of these moves are surprising though. The release of John Kuhn means there isn’t currently a fullback on the Saints’ roster.
Tight end Michael Hoomanawanui can also play fullback but he’s one of only three tight ends on the roster. Kuhn’s role was thought to be expanding during the offseason with the addition of Adrian Peterson at running back.
