Disappointing news came for New Orleans Saints fans Monday morning as the other shoe (probably) dropped on the Mike Gillislee signing: linebacker Nate Stupar was released as the corresponding move to make room on the 53-man roster, per ESPN’s Mike Triplett.
Saints releasing veteran LB/special teams ace Nate Stupar, per source. Tough news after his great comeback from ACL tear and great finish in preseason.

Stupar worked hard to return to the team from a torn ACL in 2017 and made an impact in the final preseason game, logging three sacks, recovering a fumble on special teams, and intercepting a pass late in the second half.
