The New Orleans Saints used their final selection in the 2019 NFL Draft on Idaho linebacker Kaden Elliss, one of the most athletic prospects in the entire draft. Elliss was selected at No. 244 overall, just minutes after the Saints picked Notre Dame tight end Alize Mack. Like Mack, Elliss was one of few prospects to make an official facilities visit to New Orleans during the pre-draft process.
Elliss didn’t see the highest level of competition at Idaho (the Vandals joined the Big Sky Conference in 2018 after several years in the Sun Belt) but he was dominant.
