According to The Advocate’s Nick Underhill, the New Orleans Saints are making some Monday moves. Per the report, the team is waiving linebacker Chris McCain and cornerback Brian Dixon, and claiming ex-Denver Broncos tight end John Phillips.
Phillips is a veteran tight end that’s been in the league since 2009. He was originally a sixth-round draft choice of the Dallas Cowboys at 208th overall. He spent time there from 2009-2012 and with the San Diego Chargers from 2013-2015.
He latched on with Broncos on July 28, 2016 and ended up making the team’s final roster.
