The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers released their first official injury reports on Wednesday ahead of the regular season opener. Here’s what was reported on official team websites:
New Orleans is only working with one injured player: starting left guard Andrus Peat, listed with a hip ailment. Peat did not participate in Wednesday’s practice and is likely not going to suit up on Sunday. The Saints re-signed two veteran offensive linemen who were with the team during the summer earlier in the week: Josh LeRibeus and Michael Ola.
Though he wasn’t listed on the report, wide receiver Cameron Meredith told the Times-Picayune’s Josh Katzenstein that he was a full participant after taking it slow in training camp following rehab for his torn ACL and a tweaked hip flexor.
