Yesterday, I floated Giants cornerback Eli Apple as the most feasible trade option for the Saints at cornerback. Today, half of my proposal happened. The Saints are bringing the former Ohio State corner to New Orleans in exchange for a fourth round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and a seventh rounder in 2020.
My proposal was a straight up trade of players. Saints left guard/tackle Andrus Peat for Apple. That need for the Giants on the offensive line was never more obvious than in their loss to the Falcons last night.
