Saints bring back reserve cornerback Ken Crawley

Here’s some depth at a position of need: the New Orleans Saints reunited, again, with longtime backup Ken Crawley, adding help to the cornerbacks room. Crawley has appeared in 49 regular season games since 2016, all but four of them with New Orleans, though his efforts in 2020 were largely spent on special teams (56 snaps) rather than on defense (11).

Crawley, 28, joins a handful of other Saints corners with NFL experience behind them in Marshon Lattimore, Patrick Robinson, and P.J. Williams, plus practice squad holdovers Keith Washington Jr. and Grant Haley. New Orleans selected Stanford ballhawk Paulson Adebo in the third round of this year’s draft while also adding Tennessee’s Bryce Thompson and Truman State’s Lawrence Woods as rookie free agents.
