were busy Saturday tweaking special teams.
The Saints brought back long snapper Justin Drescher and in a corresponding move waived rookie long snapper Chase Dominguez, according to sources familiar with the transactions.
The 6-foot-1, 235-pound Drescher returns after spending seven seasons in New Orleans (2010-16). He played the 2016 season in the final year of his contract, and the Saints elected to not re-sign him when free agency kicked off in March.
Instead, the Saints signed long snapper Jesse Schmitt to a reserve/future deal in January and Dominguez as an undrafted free agent. The Saints parted ways with Schmitt after mandatory minicamp and signed veteran Thomas Gafford.
