Saints bring back former safety/safety net Rafael Bush

METAIRIE, La. -- The New Orleans Saints are getting the band back together. Well, their favorite backup singers, anyway.

One day after re-signing former backup quarterback Chase Daniel, the Saints agreed to a deal with former backup safety/special teams standout Rafael Bush, a source confirmed. The news was first reported by the New Orleans Advocate.

Bush, 29, spent last season with the Detroit Lions after spending four years in New Orleans. He essentially played the same role in both places as a No. 3 safety/part-time starter/core special teams player. He played all 16 games in Detroit with four starts, 53 tackles and a career-high two interceptions -- one of which he returned for a touchdown.
