New Orleans Saints wide receiver Brandon Coleman won’t be donning his uniform Sunday in the Divisional-Round, as he was declared out against the Minnesota Vikings on Friday after failing to practice all week with a neck injury.
Coleman has six starts to his credit, and appeared in all 16 regular season games for the Saints. He has 23 receptions for 364 receiving yards and three touchdowns, but his stat line doesn’t paint the complete picture of the value he brings to the offense.
At 6-foot-6, 225 pounds the former Rutgers standout excels as a run blocker down field, quietly laying down many of the key blocks that sprang his teammates for long rushing gains throughout the year.
