The New Orleans Saints aren’t satisfied with what they have along the defensive line, nor should they be. With the status of Nick Fairley up in the air due to his heart condition, the defensive tackle rotation could use some help. There’s a lot of hope in second-year Sheldon Rankins combining with Tyeler Davidson, but with Fairley out, the rotation could struggle. On the final day of minicamp before taking the summer off, the club made a move to rectify that, signing free agent Tony McDaniel.
McDaniel will enter his 12th season in 2017. He spent last year with Seattle, his second stint with the Seahawks.
