The first NFL power rankings after the free agency signing period began dropped from Matthew Stevens over at Touchdown Wire, and they hold the New Orleans Saints in high regard. In fact, the Saints ranked second in the entire league. The only team placed higher was the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots — who were very fortunate to avoid a matchup with Drew Brees and the Saints in their latest title game win.
