The New Orleans Saints announced Friday that all five of the players they selected with 2019 NFL Draft picks signed their rookie contracts. These are typical four-year deals that will count for just around $3.3 million against this year’s salary cap. Some of the new members of the Saints shared the moment they inked their contracts on social media.
This means that all five rookies are now under contract and ready to compete alongside their new teammates. Here’s a quick recap of the Saints draft picks:
- Center Erik McCoy, Texas A&M
- Defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Florida
- Defensive back Saquan Hampton, Rutgers
- Tight end Alize Mack, Notre Dame
- Linebacker Kaden Elliss, Idaho
The Saints will begin rookie minicamp on Saturday, May 11, putting each of these players on the field alongside the team’s undrafted rookie signings, and many others participating on a tryout basis.
