The New Orleans Saints inked their entire 2019 NFL Draft class to contracts on Friday, but they weren’t finished. With rookie minicamp set to kick off the following day, the Saints signed nine more undrafted free agents to three-year contracts. New Orleans also waived three other players.
Most of the signees were bigger names, whose agreements were reported shortly after this year’s draft wrapped up. They include:
- Defensive end Carl Granderson, Wyoming
- Offensive guard/tackle Ethan Greenidge, Villanova
- Linebacker Porter Gustin, USC
- Running back Darnell Holland, Kennesaw State
- Wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey, Texas
- Offensive tackle Derrick Kelly II, Florida Sttate
- Long snapper Nick Moore, Georgia
- Defensive tackle Shy Tuttle, Tennessee
- Linebacker Darrell Williams, Auburn
The three players waived by the Saints were undrafted free agents Chase Hansen (a linebacker from Utah) and Jake Powell (a tight end from Monmouth), as well as running back Martez Carter, who spent part of the 2018 season on the Saints practice squad.
