In a move that undoubtedly shocked and surprised a lot of the Who Dat Nation, the New Orleans Saints chose to re-sign offensive lineman Andrus Peat to a new contract.
The five-year veteran and two-time Pro-Bowler is signed on for another five seasons with the Black and Gold. The signing is only a moderate shock in this writer’s opinion – the cost though is a bit more shocking.
The Saints have reportedly signed Peat for five years, $57.5 million, according to Ian Rappaport of the RapSheet and Friends podcast. $33 million is guaranteed.
Honestly, I kind of thought we might have signed him for around the guaranteed money.
