It’s a good thing we don’t type with typewriters anymore. There may not be enough typewriter ribbon to discuss all the negatives from the New Orleans Saints’ first game of their West Coast swing. Between the again poor officiating, penalties, dismal efforts in the trenches and injuries, there just was not much positive to speak of in the Saints 27-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
The Saints traveled to Los Angeles coming off a last-second victory on Monday night. This wasn’t a time for a revenge game, it was simply an effort to get to two wins on the season and to prove they belong in the conversation of the league’s elite teams.
