Remember when the New Orleans Saints had all those draft picks that didn’t pan out for a while? Well, it seems those days are gone for at least a little bit, as the NFL announced two of the team’s rookies have taken down awards. Marshon Lattimore is your Rookie Defensive Player of the Year, while Alvin Kamara is your Rookie Offensive Player of the Year.
The Saints became the first team since the 1967 Detroit Lions (Mel Farr and Lem Barney) to have both rookie sides represented. New Orleans saw Lattimore fall to them at 11th overall, while the team traded a 2018 2nd Round pick to acquire Kamara in the 3rd Round at 67th overall.
