There should still be two open roster spots on the Saints 90-man training camp roster at this point after two of the four open spots were filled on Monday. Joining the Saints per an announcement by the team were offensive tackle Chris Clark and fullback Shane Smith.
This past week the Saints lost wide receiver Rishard Matthews after the veteran apparently quit. The team also cut tackles Nate Wozniak and Ulrich John along with tight end Jake Powell. John was injured and waived following an injury suffered in Friday night’s preseason opener.
Chris Clark is a New Orleans native who prepped at McDonogh 35, the school that also gave us Delvin Breaux and legendary Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Neil Smith.
