Obviously running back isn’t a need for the Saints with Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara on the team. But depth behind them is a glaring issue and the Saints addressed that with the second of their sixth round picks in the 2018 NFL Draft. That selection was Louisiana Tech’s Boston Scott.
He’ll be brought into camp to compete with current backups Trey Edmunds and Jonathan Williams. On paper, at least, Boston Scott would seem to be a long shot to make the roster. But he’ll have a chance to slug it out in training camp and perhaps make an impact on special teams.
