One of the more interesting parts of the NFL Draft is the process after the last name has been called in the seventh round. Teams will have lists of players they have a strong feeling will not have been called in the draft’s seven rounds. They have teams that get to work talking to agents and players, maybe parent and significant others. What’s different in this part of the draft process is that the undrafted rookie gets to choose from among the various teams they’ve heard from and it’s their decision where they go.
We started hearing some names and where they were going within an hour after the draft’s conclusion.
