In 2018’s free agency period, tight end Jimmy Graham chose to sign with the Green Bay Packers for a bigger contract than what the New Orleans Saints offered him, so they went looking elsewhere. They ended up signing Ben Watson and briefly pursued former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, but were too slow on the draw – he agreed to terms with the Jacksonville Jaguars on a two-year deal instead.
But it appears the Saints may get a second shot at recruiting Seferian-Jenkins. His two-year contract actually guaranteed just one season, with a team option in 2019.
