The New Orleans Saints are one of only a few teams in the NFL that utilizes a Fullback in the backfield. The position, for most of the NFL, has fallen by the wayside.
Zach Line is the most recent in a long line of FBs in New Orleans that has included John Kuhn, Mike Karney, and Jed Collins. He wasn’t used much in New Orleans, but did average 4.0 yards per carry over his 7 rushes that usually came in short-yardage or goal-to-go, critical situations.
He also found the end zone once 2017, surprisingly through the air against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
