New Orleans Saints place kicker Wil Lutz may have missed a rare extra point attempt, but the Saints are still up 6-0 with 10 minutes left in the first quarter. Now-freed running back Mark Ingram fought his way into the end zone from the one-yard line to get New Orleans on the board.
In the bigger picture, this touchdown was the first of eight that Ingram needs to tie Deuce McAllister’s Saints franchise record. He’s still 800-some rushing yards from taking that record, too. He needs to get out ahead as far as he can, or those records will be Alvin Kamara’s some day.
