Seattle Seahawks starting quarterback Russell Wilson could be on the verge of being dealt to another team as a rift between the two parties has emerged. With the New Orleans Saints expected to see their future Hall of Famer in Drew Brees retire, speculation has arisen about a possible trade for Wilson. Those rumors have now hit a fever pitch as Wilson’s agent has just released a statement that Wilson is open to waiving his full no-trade clause for four teams.
One of those teams is the Saints. If New Orleans were able to acquire Wilson, they would need to do some extensive salary cap work that could include restructures, extensions and cuts just to free up space for his $19 million cap hit in 2021.
