The New Orleans Saints always seem to find a scrappy, useful running back among the crowd of undrafted free agents every year. With names like Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory, Khiry Robinson, and Travaris Cadet on their resume, it makes sense for the Saints to appeal to someone in Devine Ozigbo’s position.
Ozigbo wasn’t picked in the 2019 NFL Draft after putting up a strong senior season for Nebraska, averaging 7.0 yards per rushing attempt (on 155 carries) while gaining receiving yards at 8.8 yards per catch (on 23 receptions). He was someone first-year Cornhuskers head coach Scott Frost leaned on, but the singular year of college production left him on the street after the draft.
