Guard Tim Lelito said he expects to remain with the New Orleans Saints this year after he has not yet received any formal offers from other teams as a restricted free agent.
Lelito confirmed that he drew some interest from the Dallas Cowboys, as he first told WWL TV. But the Cowboys were looking at him as a potential backup, while he has a much better chance to start with the Saints.
The deadline for RFAs to sign offer sheets is April 22. Lelito can sign his one-year, $1.67 million qualifying offer from the Saints at any time.
