Report: Saints try out several free agent offensive linemen

The New Orleans Saints hosted several free agent offensive linemen on Tuesday, including Nick Becton. The identities of the other free agents who tried out should be announced later Tuesday afternoon in a formal notice sent around the league. This report comes from Josh Katzenstein of the Times-Picayune.

Becton joined the Saints practice squad late in the 2014 season, sticking around through the offseason and competing over the summer and into training camp. He was waived before opening day of the 2015 season. The 6-foot-6, 322-pound Becton first entered the league as an undrafted rookie out of Virginia Tech, signing with the then-San Diego Chargers in 2013 and traveling from there to find stops with the New York Giants, Saints, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, and ultimately the Giants again, where he started for the 2017 season’s final weeks.
