New Orleans Saints fans are hoping furiously for the team to add a veteran tight end, but it doesn’t seem they’re investing in the free agency market. An initial report from Josina Anerson of ESPN did not list the Saints among four teams connected to former New England Patriots tight end Dwayne Allen.
Per Anderson’s report, the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and Detroit Lions have each expressed interest in meeting with Allen following his recent release as a salary cap casualty. Each of those teams make sense as fits for Allen: the Bills and Dolphins are his former division rivals in the AFC East, while the Ravens have been a frequent postseason opponent of the Patriots’.
