The New Orleans Saints and the state of Louisiana are nearing an agreement to keep the team in New Orleans until 2035, per a report from Jeff Duncan of the Times-Picayune. Duncan also reports that the Saints are planning to pool funds with the state and Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District (also referred to as the Superdome Commission) on a $450 million renovation for the Superdome.
Superdome Commission chairman Kyle France spoke with Duncan after recent meetings with Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards and treasurer John Schroder, explaining: “We’ve got a good plan here. We’ve done our homework, and we’re going to do this the right way.
