How’s this for a splash signing? The New Orleans Saints are expected to sign tight end Jared Cook, the best available free agent at his position. News of the agreement and expected signing was first reported by Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Cook, who will be 32 in April, played for the Oakland Raiders the last two years after a brief stint with the Green Bay Packers. The first seven years of his career were spent with the then-St. Louis Rams and the Tennessee Titans, who drafted him out of South Carolina.
In 2018, Cook caught 68 of the 101 passes thrown his way, picking up 896 receiving yards and scoring six times.
