Sean Payton publicly acknowledged this week to the media that early injuries Spiller had has hindered his performance and development this season. Spiller, from all signs, isn’t hurt. So, if he doesn’t play today, that’s a Payton decision.
Spiller, who was given $5 million upfront as a free agent signing from the Buffalo Bills this season and a contract guarantee of $9 million, has only participated in 203 snaps this season.
