Report: Saints activate Ted Ginn Jr. from injured reserve

The New Orleans Saints made a roster move on Dec. 22 that’s sure to please fans: wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. was activated from injured reserve, per Nick Underhill of the Advocate. This report comes in the leadup to a crucial home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, meaning Ginn probably makes his return when the Saints need him most.

Ginn played well as New Orleans’ second wide receiver behind Michael Thomas last year, and caught several touchdowns early in 2018 before being sidelined after a knee scope. The Saints have struggled to replace him, with rookies Tre’Quan Smith and Keith Kirkwood having occasional moments of brilliance but never consistently impacting games.
