Craig Robertson visited with the New Orleans Saints last week. Despite just having $1.3 million in cap space even without the deals for James Laurinaitis and Jamarca Sanford on the books, it appears the Saints were still able to strike a deal.
After spending his rookie season on the Browns’ practice squad (undrafted in 2011), Craig Robertson was signed by Cleveland to a futures deal, eventually leading to a spot on the 53-man roster in time for the start of the 2012 season.
The New Orleans Saints already said they were hoping to sign a veteran inside linebacker this offseason — they did that with James Laurinaitis and now add depth with Robertson.
