Report: New Orleans Saints cut WR Andy Tanner, sign OL Mike McGlynn

According to a report by ESPN, the New Orleans Saints have parted ways with Andy Tanner, releasing the five-year wide receiver Wednesday afternoon.

Tanner was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Black and Gold in 2010 out of Midwestern State.  He was repeatedly cut, waived, signed to the practice or to a futures contract a handful of times before finally making the opening day roster in 2013.  However, the fan favorite would soon find himself back on the practice squad.

Tanner was released again last August, but after going unclaimed, he was placed on Saints injured reserve.
