HOUSTON — Texans running back Alfred Blue could smell the end zone.
Given the ball at the 8-yard line, the former LSU star was greeted by a host of Saints at the 3, but kept his legs churning and slowly but surely pushed the pile past the goal line.
The touchdown gave the Texans a double-digit second-half lead and further illustrated the two different directions the teams are going.
While the Saints dropped their third straight contest, the Texans’ 24-6 victory at NRG Stadium on Sunday was Houston’s fourth straight win.
“Everybody is in sync right now in our offense,” Blue said.
