The Saints are in the midst of trying to improve on an 11-5, NFC South champion team that was one play away from the NFC Championship game. Instead of settling and being content, head Coach Sean Payton and Saints management are pushing for more.
They recently extended an offer sheet to wide receiver Cam Meredith, an undrafted free agent out of Illinois State who’s spent his short career with the Chicago Bears.
As it turns out, New Orleans wasn’t the only team in hot pursuit. The Baltimore Ravens, who have been all over the wide receiver market this offseason, also extended an offer sheet to Meredith, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.
