J.T. Barrett is back with the Saints after being released from their practice squad on Friday, Sep. 7, just two days ago. He’ll be taking the practice squad spot that had been occupied by running back Jonathan Williams who was called up on Saturday to the 53-man roster.
To make room on the 53-man roster for Jonathan Williams, the Saints have parted ways with reserve offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod. It’s not clear what happened with Bushrod. He missed two days of practice over this past week and the absence was called “non-football related.
