There are currently 90 players under contract with the New Orleans Saints, but only 53 of them will be on the team’s Week 1 roster. So who do you have making the cut? With the first week of preseason games just around the corner, I’ve taken an early stab at how things may shake out.
This projection assumes a couple of things: wide receiver Michael Thomas and placekicker Wil Lutz will both start the season on either injured reserve or the physically unable to play list, while defensive tackle David Onyemata and returns specialist Deonte Harris will not be available while serving NFL suspensions.
