Playing for pride might be all that's left for Saints this season

TAMPA, Fla. -- The New Orleans Saints will miss the playoffs for the third straight season unless something miraculous happens over the next three weeks.

After losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, the Saints fell to 5-8, three games behind both Tampa Bay and the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South. The Buccaneers hold the sixth and final spot in the NFC playoff race.

Cornerback Sterling Moore said the Saints have to finish the season strong regardless of the long odds they face.

"As a man you have to look yourself in the mirror and say, 'I'm out here for our pride, we're out here as a team,'" Moore said.
