The five men who coached Peyton Manning during his 18 years in the NFL were not the only coaches with whom he talked in the days leading to his retirement.
He also saw his high school coach.
And unlike with those other five -- Jim Mora, Tony Dungy, Jim Caldwell, John Fox and Gary Kubiak -- the conversation between Manning and former Newman coach Tony Reginelli steered clear of the question many fans hoped would soon be answered.
"I didn't want to ask," Reginelli said Monday, moments after he watched on television as the 1993 Parade All-American quarterback delivered a near-perfect retirement speech.
