The New Orleans Saints defeated the banged-up San Francisco 49ers to the tune of 27-13 on Sunday afternoon. While a victory and a subsequent 7-2 record should be the narrative this week, it isn’t. Starting quarterback Drew Brees went down with an injury that was reported to be five broken ribs and a collapsed lung. Additionally, Marshon Lattimore, Andrus Peat, C.J. Garnder-Johnson, Terron Armstead and Josh Hill all reported some type of injury throughout the game.
Despite a win, there are plenty of overreactions that were served across the fanbase that ranged from the end of Brees’s career, Super Bowl chances, and the future of the quarterback position on the team.
