The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers released their latest injury reports ahead of their Sunday, Sept. 9 season opener, along with official word on who may miss the game.
Word from Tampa Bay is that first round draft pick Vita Vea, a strong run-stopping defensive tackle, is Out and will have to wait for his debut while dealing with a calf injury.
Starting left tackle Donovan Smith has only been practicing since Wednesday after sitting out two weeks with a knee injury, and is Questionable to play; so he’ll likely suit up and provide the first test for Saints rookie defensive end Marcus Davenport.
