There’s no question Coby Fleener is more of a receiving tight end than a mauler who is going to lay fierce blocks and spring holes in the defense for running backs to run through.
Fleener knows this. He admits it and says that even though he blocked a fair amount in Indianapolis, that isn’t his best trait as a tight end.
“I don’t know if I would consider it a strength of my game, but I think I’m an adequate blocker, and it seems like the Saints have done an outstanding job of kind of moving their tight ends around and making sure they have the advantage when it comes to blocking and receiving,” he said.
