NFLPA sends work stoppage readiness plan to players ahead of CBA fight

Troubling news could loom on the horizon for NFL fans; there’s a potential storm brewing. It’s well off in the distance now, and while the winds could shift direction and the skies could clear before it ever arrives, some are already starting to make preparations for things to get rough.

The NFL Players Association is gearing up for a work stoppage before the 2021 season. That’s when the current collective bargaining agreement between the NFLPA and the NFL will expire. Negotiations for a new CBA began in April, with both sides looking to avoid a work stoppage. However a recent three-day work session was cut short after just one day of talks, and now current players are being encouraged to start appropriate financial planning now, just in case.
