The NFL season will open with a Super Bowl 50 rematch between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers, the Charlotte observer reported Thursday.
The report came hours before the NFL was set to release the full regular season schedule at 7 p.m. central time.
The rematch of a game won by the Broncos 24-10 in Santa Clara, Calif., will be played on a Thursday night in Denver.
