NFL fines Cameron Jordan $38K for penalties vs. Panthers

The NFL fiend New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan $38,602 for two personal fouls he committed during last week’s game against the Carolina Panthers, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Saturday.

Jordan was penalized for striking Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen in the face mask after the whistle, a mistake he later owned up to. As Jordan explained it, he was trying to force a fumble out of Allen while he was being spun to the ground by teammate Demario Davis. The Saints’ defensive captain acknowledged that he has to play the game with better awareness and avoid hurting his team with senseless mistakes like that, promising to make up for it in his next outing.
