With a matchup that we were expecting to be a battle between two defenses turned out to be a showdown between two powerful offenses. The defenses got exposed all day long — mostly in the secondary. The offenses on both teams were having a field day throwing and rushing. This game proved to be more of an offensive matchup. Either way, the New Orleans Saints did all they could to pull out the victory; it just didn’t happen.
This game was all about big plays — especially with San Francisco. They averaged 16 yards per play in the first quarter if that gives you an idea.
