Many athletes, including Ray Lewis and Carmelo Anthony, have made their feelings known about the civil unrest in Baltimore. Saints tight end Benjamin Watson is speaking his mind, too.
Watson posted a heartfelt message to his Facebook page Thursday in response to the riots and protests in the city over the death of Freddie Gray. Watson, who was born in Norfolk, Va., called for peace and prayers. Soon after his post was shared more than 14,000 times with more than 36,000 likes.
His statement on Facebook reads:
We have major problems as a nation.
