The New Orleans Saints needed Teddy Bridgewater to come in clutch during the team’s 13-3 regular season. When Drew Brees was sidelined, fans thought all hope was lost, but Bridgewater had different plans.
He stepped in and rallied the Saints, totaling five straight victories before handing the keys back to future first-ballot Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees. Bridgewater made the most of his time and will find a sizable contract this offseason due to those five games.
That said, Brees was debating whether or not to retire, and he’s deciding to come back, likely completing a deal with the Saints once the March 18 free agency period opens up.
